The year is heating up.. and politically getting more exciting! I have been deliberatly wearing my Obama pin when I go out shopping and it has raised some interesting discussions. I want to say once more in case my previous comment got lost that I really appreciate the opportunity that the members have given me with their vote to be a delegate for the General Council. I do not take this responcibility lightly and look forward to the events coming up. I also look forward to meeting the other delegates. I think our trip to K-Falls was a success! Members from all over were there and we got to hear from the Forestry contingent. We must not forget those neighbors who feel isolated from the hub of Salem and Portland. We need their input and we need their impressions of what is going on in the Capitol to gage how effective our Union is in our members eyes as well as outsiders. Loyal and enthusiastic members are vital to any progress we hope to achieve. So onward and forward; we have an exciting year ahead of us. Blessings Donna McKeever
